Position: Data Scientist

During my study, lots of technics are discussed in the courses. Despite that, there is still a lot to learn for me. Veneficus gives me this change. Not only am I working on different subjects than at the university, I also see that problems can be solved in totally different ways. That's how I've learned other programming languages and software functionality's. I like the challenge of solving problems without a clear solution. It's the fastest way to develop yourself.

Veneficus went through a huge development over the last years. There is a lot of experience on the work floor, which is transferred quickly to new employees. Besides, it constantly puts the bar higher for itself. Solutions are found where others hadn't see problems yet. It's nice to be part of that team, to see both the company and myself grow. It all happens in a nice atmosphere, with a group that's small enough get to know everybody in no time, but big enough to have enough knowledge at hand.

Until the end of 2011 I have worked at Veneficus as a working student, so I had the time to completely focus on my study. After an internship from the end of 2013 until the beginning of 2014, I stayed at Veneficus to work as a Junior Consultant. I mainly work on web scraping and analyses of maritime data.
